We're no ordinary kitchen designers. Which means we don't just nip over, measure up and present you with a couple of designs. We start by taking the time to understand exactly what you want. During face-to-face meetings we will establish the precise style that suits you and your home. We want to completely understand how you and your family make use of your living spaces. We will discuss the textures and tones of the materials that are right for you. How to maximize the space you have to work with. The appliances, furnishings and facilities you need. Only then, much like an architect, will we go away and draw up detailed plans to incorporate all of these things into a beautiful package.

Coming from a family of working artists and trained in the disciplined craft of stonemasonry, it was inevitable that this background, along with a big dash of entrepreneurial spirit, would lead to a career in the designer-maker sphere. Our work is primarily driven by aesthetics, functionality and solidity, drawing on a range of influences from medieval craftsmanship and the shaker movement through to british artisans and classic furniture makers. Mat's interior and architectural influences include post-war Scandinavian design (a leader in admirable lifestyle ideals of the modern age) and many current British furniture designers such as Tom Dixon, Russell Pinch and rising star Benjamin Hubert.

In order to main complete flexibility and artistic freedom to create a bespoke solution for every kitchen we design, we have cherry-picked only the most skilled and trustworthy craftsmen and makers to work with, each selected for their technical expertise, passion for their work and commitment to reliability. Amongst our team are cabinet-makers, joiners, stonemasons and steel fabricators; painters, plumbers and electricians; basket weavers, upholsterers, glaziers and tilers. So the only limitations on your kitchen dreams are our imaginations and of course, your budget!

We love to take on a challenge! Kitchen design is our core business, but as you will see on these pages, we don't stop there. At Landmark we are equally as happy to take a commission for a single piece of furniture, as for a complete interior design.
